1940's Wartime Britain Saturday 17 June 2006

The safest place to be on 17 June 2006 is Shackerstone Station on The Evacuation Express.  The Blitz Jazz Band play on the platform before we depart at 7.45 on a steam hauled locomotive. travelling through the Leicestershire Countryside listening to the sounds of the 40s before returning back to Shackerstone for The Blitz Jazz Band & Demob Disco, there will be a Free Rations BBQ Banquet all night.  The night will include firework displays & special effects with lots of surprises. Two Licensed Bars on Train 7 pm till 11.30 pm

No Smoking Allowed on the train itself
The train stops halfway at Shenton station for a smoke break  then back to Shackerstone at 9 pm
